Dear Mr. Client,
In accordance with your e-mail received February 27, 2002, a Patent Novelty Search was conducted at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a targeted marketing program, which includes memory for collecting information about prospective clients, and includes their purchasing histories and classifying potential clients according to an established set of parameters, which are continuously refined as new products, services and procedures are introduced. This system will operate entirely over the Internet on a business to business basis, or it could employ conventional printed advertising media including mail, magazines and newspapers and the like. The essential elements of all such systems is the evaluation of client responses to said media and the continuous refinement of the system of parameters, media and delivery systems, in accordance with the disclosure provided.
The following classes and subclasses were searched:

Class 283 (Printed Matter (Advertising)) Subs. 56, 81, 67

6,266,647 discloses a marketing system, which includes a value storage system in which information representing value is directly written to an easily portable storage medium such as a reference fingerprint; and it includes a plurality of read/write units for storing and retrieving the value information on a smart card (abstract; claims 1, 7, 8, 13).
6,014,634 discloses a system and method for delivering purchasing incentives, which includes a variety of retail shopping aids through a computer network, such as by E-mail over the Internet or the World Wide Web (abstract; claims 1, 14, 27, 40).
6,334,108 discloses a system for customer promotion, which includes a memory that stores a database of previously entered customer identification codes and transactions data and circuitry for generating a signal representative of a customer's shopping history, wherein incentive coupons may be issued to selective customers (abstract; claims 1, 15, 25, 37).
6,236,975 discloses a targeted marketing system, which provides users with consumer questions, receives responses to the customer questions, and stores data associated with the responses according to profiles (abstract; claims 1, 10, 15).
